My trip to Philadelphia P.A.

In 2017 I elected to get in the car and take a 2-day trip to Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The drive was not to bad with minimum traffic for the big city. Philadelphia is one of my favorite cities. Of course I am a big sports fan of the Eagles and the Phillies. When I think of Philly I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
When I arrived in Philadelphia I felt at home immediately. I made sure I stayed in the Holiday Inn right by the stadium. Unfortunately I missed the Phillies game however I did get to go through the city. My first stop was down town so I could see the statues of the founding fathers of the United States. It was a little too late in the afternoon to do the tour so I did a small tour off the map I picked up myself. I walked through a few of the parks as well as up town. Unfortunately I got started a little late in the day so I was running out of daylight. So it was time to put the camera down and go and find some night activities.
I went back to the other side of town by my hotel and found one of my favorite restaurants Chickie’s & Pete’s. I found this restaurant in 2014when I was taking a flight out of Philadelphia. In the airport the cheese steak that day was a life changing experience. So of course I ordered another one this time and got some crab fries. It was only one thing that could make this meal better… a good baseball game. The waitress was polite enough to turn to the game and my moment was complete. After leaving I copied all my photos over to my laptop and then got in the bed for some rest.

Before I packed everything I had a bright idea of finding the Rocky Statue. It only took me 40 minutes to find the statue. However it was worth finding it. Once I found the location I put the camera down and I ran up all 87 steps to get to the statue. My calf muscles were burning and my lungs were on fire. That moment in time will always be one of my favorites of all my traveling.
After catching my breath and getting some gas for the trip home I waived good-bye to the city of Philadelphia. I can scratch this off my list and on to the next trip. It was fun Philadelphia.
